Groovy Baby Shower Ideas (Easy, Affordable + So Cute!)
I had so much fun putting together this groovy baby shower for one of my friends from church! She sent me her Pinterest inspiration, and I knew exactly where I wanted to go with it—retro colors, daisies, disco balls, and lots of fun little details.
But you guys know me. It had to be cute, affordable, and EASY! Here are some of my favorite ideas from the shower that you can recreate.
Start With a Color Scheme

I started with a balloon garland I found on Amazon and used those colors as inspiration for everything else. A balloon garland is one of my favorite inexpensive ways to make a BIG statement at a party.
My tip: get a balloon pump and some helpers. It makes the process so much easier!
I added groovy garlands, daisies, and even a pink daisy blanket I found on clearance at Target. Don’t limit yourself to the party aisle—look around the entire store for things that match your colors!
Free Groovy Baby Shower Printables

Of course, I had to DIY something!
I created 12 FREE groovy printables that you can use for your own party. I printed mine on cardstock and hung them throughout the venue.
They’re perfect for baby showers, birthdays, bridal showers, or any retro-themed party.
Easy Daisy Centerpieces

I bought a $9 bouquet of daisies from Walmart and used floral frogs to make several simple arrangements.
The floral frog holds just a few flowers upright in a shallow container, so you don’t need huge bouquets to create cute centerpieces. I even tucked little disco balls into the arrangements for some extra groovy sparkle!
My Budget-Friendly Cake Hack

The custom cakes I found for inspiration were going to cost around $200–$300, so I came up with an easier option.
I ordered plain white 8-inch and 6-inch cakes from the Walmart bakery and decorated them myself with disco ball picks and colorful bubble cake toppers from Amazon.
It gave me that custom groovy cake look for a fraction of the price!
Simple Food, Favors & Games

The mama-to-be was craving pizza, so pizza it was! My party trick is to ask for the pizza to be cut into squares. The smaller pieces are easy to grab and serve at a shower.
We added individual ranch-and-carrot cups, meringues, peanut butter pretzels, decorated cookies, and drinks tucked inside adorable groovy koozies.
For activities, I kept it simple with a few matching printable games from Etsy, including baby bingo, emoji Pictionary, and a Price Is Right-style game.
My Favorite Baby Shower Thank-You Trick

Here’s one idea I’ll use at every baby shower I host: have guests address their own thank-you card envelopes.
After the shower, the mom-to-be just writes her thank-you note, puts it in the already-addressed envelope, adds a stamp, and she’s done. Such a simple way to make things easier for a new mama!
Groovy Baby Shower Made Easy

The shower turned out colorful, sweet, and adorable without requiring a huge budget or complicated DIY projects.
Pick a color scheme, find a few decorations that make a big impact, shop creatively, and add some personal DIY touches. That’s really all you need to create a special celebration.
And don’t forget your FREE groovy printables!
