Easy Orange Basil Mocktail
If you need an easy drink for a party, shower, brunch, or just a fun non-alcoholic option, this Orange Basil Mocktail is so simple and refreshing.
It only takes a few ingredients, and most of the work happens the night before. The fresh basil sits in the orange juice overnight and gives it just enough basil flavor without overpowering the drink. Right before serving, add club soda for the bubbles, pour it over ice, and you’re done!
This is exactly my kind of party recipe—easy, make-ahead, and something a little different.
Orange Basil Mocktail
Ingredients
- ½ bottle Uncle Matt’s Organic Ultimate Defense Orange Juice Beverage
- 1 clamshell fresh basil
- 1 liter club soda, chilled
- Ice
Instructions
- Pour ½ bottle of the orange juice into a large pitcher or drink dispenser.
- Add the fresh basil. Gently bruise or tear a few of the leaves to help release the basil flavor.
- Cover and refrigerate overnight.
- When you're ready to serve, pour in 1 liter of chilled club soda and gently stir.
- Add plenty of ice and serve!

Make It Ahead
This is a great drink to prep the night before a party. Mix the orange juice and basil together and let them sit in the refrigerator overnight.
Don’t add the club soda yet! Wait until right before serving so you don’t lose all those bubbles.
Easy Serving Idea
Serve the mocktail in a pretty glass pitcher or drink dispenser with plenty of ice. You can add a few fresh basil leaves or orange slices right before serving if you want to dress it up a little.
For individual glasses, add ice, pour in the Orange Basil Mocktail, and finish with a fresh basil leaf.
Perfect for Parties
I love having a fun non-alcoholic drink available when we’re entertaining, and this one couldn’t be much easier. It would be great for:
- Baby showers
- Bridal showers
- Brunch
- Summer cookouts
- Holiday parties
- Church events
- Family gatherings
And because you can get almost everything ready the night before, it’s one less thing to worry about when people start arriving.
